Shaheen Majeed, Marketing Director, Sabinsa Corp. will be a panelist discussing Green BioActives: New Technology Trends for Ingredients on Tuesday June 19, 2012 from 1 - 2 PM as part of the HBA Global Expo held at the Javits Center in New York city. He will be specifically speaking on the use of and need for preservatives in cosmetics, how natural preservatives work, and finally touching on Sabinsa's natural preservative SabiLize ®- New.
SabiLize ®- New .5%, a blend of natural active fractions of various essential oils and phytoextracts, in cream was found to be significantly effective against gram positive bacteria Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa and Escherichia coli, as well as Candida albicans and Aspergillus niger.
Shaheen Majeed knows Sabinsa from the ground up. When he was just 17 years old Shaheen began in the warehouse of the science-based ingredients company his father founded in 1988, followed by a stint in customer service. He then handled a variety of sales positions, representing the company's portfolio of proprietary nutritional and cosmeceutical ingredients, which included Tri-State region sales, California Sales Manager, and Latin American Business Development, a responsibility he still handles in addition to his role as Marketing Director. Shaheen has also managed Contract Manufacturing, been Cosmetic Marketing Manager and Executive Assistant to the CEO. He is also spearheading the company’s expansion of their functional foods offerings, while being actively involved in Sabinsa's cultivation program, interacting with farmers to insure sustainability of quality raw materials.
