Boswellic acids, the biologically active ingredients of Boswellia serrata gum resin, are used to treat inflammatory disorders.

A recent report published in the European Journal of Medical Research (Jan 20, 1997) showed that treatment with Boswellia serrata gum resin induced remission of symptoms in 82% of the ulcerative colitis patients studied. This treatment compared favorably with conventional treatment using NSAIDS.

Boswellin® supplied by Sabinsa Corporation is standardized for 70% boswellic acids.
