Dr. S. Natarajan is Executive Vice President, Research, at Sami Chemicals and Extracts Ltd., Bangalore, India, a company owned by Sabinsa Corporation. He is also one of the directors of the company. Dr. Natarajan obtained a doctorate in synthetic and natural products chemistry from the University of Madras, India. He subsequently held post doctoral research positions in leading U.S.universities, including the University of North Carolina, Duke University and Stanford University, California. He also worked with prominent manufacturers in India, developing a wide range of products.

Dr. Natarajan joined the SAMI team in 1994, bringing with him over 20 years of research and development experience. With his extensive background in organic chemistry including alkaloids research and synthesis of chiral compounds, Dr. Natarajan imparts a well-founded innovative approach to developing new products and cost effective manufacturing processes, for the growing list of standardized extracts, fine chemicals and nutritional raw materials supplied by Sabinsa® Corporation.
